To address the effects of climate change, the Marsabit County Assembly passed the Marsabit County Climate Change Fund Act 2020 which seeks to allocate development funds at the ward level to address projects that help communities cope with climate change challenges.
This is how it works: Communities identify their Ward Climate Change Planning Committees. These committees receive projects from the communities. Then they channel them to County Climate Change Planning Committee while the County Climate Change Fund Steering Committee provides oversight for the whole process.
